Quartz vein with gold strengthened in Fäbodliden C

New results from exploration drilling in the Vindelgransele area enlarge the extent of the goldbearing quartz vein in Fäbodliden C at depth and confirm its continuity with high contents of gold. Very high gold grades with visible gold in all reported holes increase the expectations for a potential gold resource.

Positive test concentration of Vargbäcken mineralisation

As previously reported, Botnia Exploration Holding AB and Björkdalsgruvan AB has signed an agreement on test concentration of the gold mineralisation Vargbäcken, located in Vindelgransele. The concentration is now completed and in total 8,000 tonnes have been processed.

Gold production globally

The world’s mining companies produce in total approximately 2,700 tonnes of gold every year. The time between new findings of large gold occurrences becomes longer, while the reserves in existing mines are extracted at a faster rate as a result of more efficient technology.

Stenkulla

Stenkulla is a project within Rare Earth Elements (REE). So far, only boulder tracing has been performed. No investigation drillings are currently planned for.

Skropsjöåsen

The Skropsjö mine is a more than 30 years old tungsten project, located approx. 45 km west of the Yxsjöberg mine, Sweden’s only modern tungsten mine and closed in 1989. The concentration plant Yxsjöberg could with relatively short notice be re-started for operation. Botnia Exploration has on-going discussions with the owner of this concentration plant. Skropsjöåsen had earlier status as a mining concession, which was announced already in 1985 by the Mining Inspectorate of Sweden. Boliden AB was owner of the permit until the end of 2010 when Botnia Exploration applied for and was granted the exploration permit.

Botnia has signed a concentration agreement with Björkdalsgruvan

Botnia Exploration Holding AB and Björkdalsgruvan AB have today signed a concentration agreement covering 10,000 tonnes of gold mineralisation from Botnia’s test mining in Vargbäcken. The mineralisation will be concentrated in a campaign run by Björkdalsgruvan, with start planned to the latter part of November.

Very high grades of gold in drill hole

Botnia Exploration is pleased to announce that analyses from a drill hole in the Fäbodliden C area showed measured gold grades of up to 130 g/t at a depth of just over 135 metres. These very high grades of gold reported in drill holes from Botnia Exploration’s drillings in Vindelgransele, strengthen the expectations for the area as a future gold mining area.
